The Parish Council are aware of the problems with the dog bins on Gregs Meadow, unfortunately our current contractor who are responsible for emptying these bins on a weekly basis have not responded to our urgent calls and emails as to why they have not been emptied.
We are under the impression that they have closed down or gone bust and not advised the Parish Council which is why this problem has suddenly occurred.
The clerk urgently spoke with Broadland District Council yesterday and have asked them to take on the contract and have the bins emptied immediately as we are aware this is a serious health hazard.
We can only apologise again and will make sure the bins are emptied as soon as possible.
The Parish Council has received several reports relating to dog bins over flowing on Gregs Meadow.
The problem has been reported to our contractor Scooper Dooper who are responsible for emptying these bins on a weekly basis.
The Council have been informed that large amounts of garden waste is also being deposited into the dog bins causing them to overflow sooner than expected.
Please can we ask that these bins are used for dog waste only.
